It’s been almost 7 moths, since I got Metabones Smart adapter for EF lenses on NEX bodies. I have version I, meanwhile Metabones released version II, which with a latest firmware, allow even AF. (reported to be rather slow)However, I didn’t use it too much. Mainly because, there are lot of those old legacy lenses on my shelf, that I like to play with…This is not going to be a review… Just a few snaps to give you the idea, of what this combination is capable of, when lens is wide open.
Once I fix my studio, that ended up flooded, I will get back to the standard procedure of testing 50mm lenses on NEX.
Here is the picture of the combo: (this time on NEX 5n)
(I was in a local Photoshop and they had a trial Sony RX1 body, so I took the chance. There were a Canon promoter nearby, and when he saw, what I just lent on the table, he spontaneously shout: OMG! What a heresy!
Well, he is a fan-boy anyway, so who cares :-))
